Daio Paper chooses a Voith XcelLine tissue machine
Tokyo, Japan: Daio Paper, Japan’s leading tissue manufacturer, has ordered
from Voith the state-of-the-art tissue production technology. With the
new XcelLine tissue machine Daio Paper aims to meet the growing demand
for tissue papers in Japan by producing approximately 54,000 metric tons/year
of high-quality facial tissues, bathroom tissues, and kitchen papers made
from virgin fibers.

Our renowned IntensaPulper, a product of our Motomiya R&D center, led to Voith having earned the “Sasaki Award” from Japan TAPPI. The new pulping concept can save up to 25% of the energy formerly needed for pulping and thus substantially reduces papermaking costs.
